EMPOWERMENT NETWORK KICKOFF...
It's time to come together and work together!

On Friday, April 27, 2007, we released the first phase of the Empowerment Covenants and the Empowerment Challenge.  Seven months of planning, testing, research, forums, summits and meetings have led to the creation of a comprehensive covenant (agreement) that can be used as a road map towards positive community solutions. 

Over 400 African-American leaders and community members representing over 200 organizations, churches, groups, and businesses, have participated in some way to help develop these covenants.  Thank you to each and every person who gave of their time to be a part of developing solutions.  We thank God for your dedication, commitment, and leadership.

Let’s continue to work together in a collective way to transform our community and city.  We look forward to partnering with individuals, groups, and organizations throughout the city, state, and nation to make this covenant a reality  Working collectively, we will make a measurable and dramatic difference.  We have been called for this purpose and this time.
